NGC UK Appointment and Turnaround Times Update

This is a thrilling time to be part of the collectibles world. Every collectibles category is seeing record demand on top of record prices. With this incredible demand, NGC International UK Ltd. (NGC UK) has experienced an extraordinary number of submissions to NGC, PMG and CGC at our London office. Unfortunately, this has resulted in significantly longer turnaround times than expected. We sincerely apologize for the delays.
Expert grading should not be rushed, nor the procedures necessary to safeguard collectibles during the certification process. NGC, PMG, CGC and NGC UK will never compromise on the quality and integrity of our services. We are taking a number of steps to facilitate operations and improve turnaround times while maintaining our high quality.
To give us more time to work on current submissions at our London office, NGC UK is adjusting its service hours. Appointments to drop off and pick up submissions will now be available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. An advance appointment is required to drop off and pick up submissions.
Please note that completed submission forms and properly packaged collectibles must be sealed in a box or large envelope before arriving at the office. NGC UK will reject submissions that have incomplete forms or that are improperly packaged.
Starting April 12, 2021, the procedure to drop off and pick up submissions is as follows:
- All submission forms must be completed and submissions must be properly packaged prior to arriving at the NGC UK office, which is located at 69 Southampton Row, Third Floor, Bloomsbury, WC1B 4ET, London, United Kingdom.
- Schedule an appointment for drop-off and pick-up service by emailing Service@NGCcoin.uk. An advance appointment is required.
- Arrive at your appointed time and proceed to the third floor. Ring the doorbell to drop off or pick up your submission.
- An NGC UK representative wearing a mask will provide contactless service at the door.
From the moment a submission is made to NGC UK, significant work is performed to prepare it for shipment to NGC, PMG and CGC headquarters in the United States. Our highly trained employees ensure each submission is packaged securely and the collectibles are ready for grading. While awaiting shipment and when returned to the London office, submissions are kept in our climate-controlled secure storage with full insurance coverage based on the submitter’s declared value.

We understand that many submitters are disappointed that turnaround times are longer than expected. Our posted turnaround times are our best estimates, but a variety of factors — including many outside of our control — can impact the actual turnaround time. In some cases, it may take up to two weeks for a submission to be shipped from the London office to our US headquarters, and up to two weeks for a submission to be returned after it arrives back at the London office. We are working on a first-in, first-out basis, with higher grading tiers prioritized.
Please know that we are working tirelessly to get our turnaround times under control and eventually back to our target levels. All of our efforts, and any changes that we make at this time, are to achieve this goal.
