Creator origins: Crain has been illustrating since 1998, was a penciler until 2002, and has worked in digital art, acrylic and oil painting in the years that followed. He is best known for his exquisite work on Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears, Ghost Rider: Road to Damnation, X-Force and Carnage for Marvel. He worked with Todd McFarlane on Curse of the Spawn for Image Comics and has done work for Valiant Comics on the popular Shadowman series. Fans can find Crain’s stunning cover work on recent series like Ultimate Black Panther, Gargoyles: Quest and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Did you know? Before he became a Marvel mainstay, Crain got his start in comics with Acclaim’s Shadowman, illustrating issues #16–20 under the name “Klayton Krain”.
