CGC-graded Golden Age Fiction House Comics in October Heritage Auctions Sale

Early science fiction, romance and adventure comics by Golden Age publisher Fiction House that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) are now available in a Heritage Auctions sale. Bidding is already underway for The Fiction House Comics & Comic Arts Showcase Auction, which will be held on October 19, 2023.
Fiction House Comics, a prominent American comic book publisher from the Golden Age of Comics, thrived during the 1930s and 1940s. Known for its diverse range of titles, Fiction House produced adventure, romance and science fiction comics that captivated readers.
Included in this auction is a Planet Comics #1 graded CGC 4.5 Restored (lot 81135). "Planet Comics" was one of Fiction House's flagship titles, debuting in 1940 and earning a prominent place in the realm of science fiction comics. This series transported readers to an interstellar universe filled with exotic planets, alien civilizations and heroic space explorers. With striking covers and imaginative stories, "Planet Comics" showcased the pioneering spirit of the era's science fiction, featuring heroes like the daring Hunt Bowman and the intrepid Auro, Lord of Jupiter.

Also in this auction is a Rangers Comics #21 graded CGC 7.5 (lot 81230). Rangers Comics was an anthology series that offered readers a diverse blend of action, adventure and Western-themed stories. Debuting in 1941, Rangers Comics was notable for its iconic cover art and featured a range of characters, from cowboys and detectives to aviators and vigilantes.
