CGC-graded Superman and Batman grails sell for over £500,000 each

It was Superman vs. Batman in an epic battle of two D.C. Comics Golden Age grails in a March Comic Connect auction. In the end, the Man of Steel prevailed.

Meanwhile, a Detective Comics #27 graded CGC 6.0 sold for £522,300. The May 1939 book, also from D.C. Comics, features the first appearance of Batman. (To see the lot, click here.)
